ITS ALL ABOUT "SELECT"ion...

We ran through SELECT the other day and loitered for a few with Manny. One of the latest drops were the Pennys, as you can see they are fresh out the box. Select has and will be providing the freshest SWOOSH footware for SA, so roll through and pick up a pair! (yes, those are yezzy's...get em)

RUCKUS BUILD - UPDATE #1

The only thing slower than a Ruckus is my Ruckus build project! I know it's been slow, but 'priorities' is all I'm saying. Anyway, I was playing with some long exposure shots last night in the garage. Here are a couple of unedited shots of the Ruckus so far. If you think it's dirty now, you should've seen this thing when it arrived! It looked like it rolled out of a swamp. I'm waiting on the Password JDM stem to arrive, then the A-Bomb blocks. After that, well we'll see..

THEORY HAZIT. REAL LIFE. REAL GIFTED.

Theory Hazit has a story that's very similar and familiar to us. A gifted lyricist who tells a great story. The animated concept is pretty effective, funny too. From his bio..
Who is Theory Hazit?
A husband and father – emerging from his days as a trouble youth and developing into a wise family man.

SOLE BOUTIQUE. NEW DIGGS.

Sole Boutique has moved to a new location down Broadway, and we happened to be having lunch in the area so we decided to stop by. The shop was formerly occupied by a ritzy antique place, so the ceilings have long inlaid wood beams across the entire store. Julio has different murals lining the walls, all from local artists. Come by and support a friend who is doing great things for the SA sneaker culture.

If they ain’t got fideo, they ain’t doin it right!

Pete’s tako house is a great hole in the wall for some good tex-mex home cookin and is one of my favorite lunch spots. it’s located just north of downtown on the corner of main and lexington. you’ll find just about everything on the menu here: chorizo con huevo, carne guisada, fajitas, enchiladas, caldos, gorditas….you getting hungry yet? i decided to go with fideo today. this mouth watering base of broth consists of browned vermicelli, picadillo and whole cooked beans. the comino and stewed onions and tomatoes are great on the taste buds too. this “sopa” has been around for generations and is a common find at any tex-mex restaurant in san antonio. if you ever walk into one and do not find it on the menu, get up and walk out!

stop by when you have a chance….you will not be disappointed.

HOMEMADE TEXAN GOODNESS. SALSA.

Yup, its about food again. Wanted to share a bit of simple goodness we recently enjoyed at home. Texans love to put everything in tacos, so here you go. Spicy kiolbassa sausage basted in bbq sauce, shredded cheddar, sour cream, and the secret sauce...habanero pineapple salsa. Had to keep it tropical. The lil salsa container was for the kiddos, had to keep the habanero content kid-friendly.

MEET ME AT THE RIVER.

My family and I went down to the Guadalupe River last Sunday afternoon to enjoy our first church baptism event of the Summer. Our church family from Calvary Chapel of San Antonio came out in full force to eat, fellowship, and encourage our friends declaring their love for the Lord. The weather was muggy (it even rained for awhile) and the water was dirtier than it looks, but we had a grand 'ol time at the river.
