CRAYONE (yes, the Original)...

If you remember the book Spraycan Art, then you know the name. Crayone is a graffiti pioneer of the grassroots Hip-Hop scene in the Bay Area. Kids, like us, used to bring these books to school and show our friends what real graffiti looked like (not the paper kings who made flyers for the next garage party. haha.) Some wanted to get up like 'Taki 183' and have their tags everywhere. Others aspired to burn murals like Crayone. Serious artists know the respect that comes with his name. That was back in the day..the homie Crayone & TWS are STILL holding things down. He remains an advocate for the graffiti scene (He was even mentoring up and coming graf artists online!!), but his portfolio now covers the entire range of graphics across all medium. He still brings the dopest technique with old school flair. Check out his official site.

His resume says it best:
Crayone is considered to be a Bay Area Graffiti Art Pioneer. He has been filmed and published many times, but his seminal exposure was a book called "SprayCan Art", "Frieght Train Graffiti", "Graffito" and in a recent video documentary called "Piece By Piece". To his peers he is known as a person who brought the use of intricate colors and skillful technique to his graffiti pieces. His legendary crew called TWS (Together With Style) has brought world wide recognition and was known as the crew who invented New Wave. New Wave was an attempt at coining certain individuals who were trying to take graffiti to the next level of technique, color and style. Go.

Stay tuned for some major collab work. HMGxCRAYONE.

SAN ANTO RUCKUS.

The Homie Steve Photographer/RUCK rider has been building this ruck for a good minute, he is one of the very few RUCK riders here in SA. His tedious build will inspire you to go get a ruck. Also, he had some custom mid-night purple paint to accent the battle scooter. At the bottom of the pics is his parts list just incase you want to model yours to his...JUST DONT BITE.

DMGGMASD!!!!

What is DMGGMASD? It was probably one of the best drift events I've been to in four years of drifting. The guys from http://www.driftmechaniks.com/ put this private event together and it was held on Nov.1, 2008 at Nashville Super Speedway. I was lucky enough to be invited to this event along with a few other Memphis/Traction Optional drivers. Check out this vid put together by Will Roegge. I'm in the orange s14 in a couple of the clips of it. Big thanks again to everybody that had a part in putting this event together.

Want Thai?

We decided to test out this Thai Restaurant called "Tong's Thai" for lunch since we heard good things about it. Found out that it was reasonable fare and we'd definitely go back, especially for their boba drinks. Like many other asian restaurants here in SA, they had other ethnic dishes available too, such as Japanese and Chinese. I'd say that overall the place was good, from the tantalizing food, the garden patio seating with ponds, down to the details in the bathrooms (they had a cool sink!). A lasting impression for sure...which compensated for the overabundance of tofu versus chicken and shrimp in the Pad Thai. Gotta try Tong's Thai!

So I figured since Ken and Brandon were generous enough to give me my own little blog spot, I should probably sit down and write an actual post. Im going to school to be a fine arts/digital design major at SAC. I've been doing graphics for Goodtimes Skateboards and most recently been helping out with HMG and Goodlife Wheels.
Got suckered into a chick flick in disguise last night.

GOKUBUTO FATNESS

The long awaited Bowls Gokubuto kit has been out for awhile, but the BOWLSLAxTOKYOPARTS collab deserves all the hype because this thing is pure fatty sickness! If you wanna fatty kit for you're ruck, this is the one to get!
Sekizawa-san of Tokyo Parts, the mastermind behind the Gokubuto, originally produced this custom tailored kit for each individual customer in Japan. We worked very closely together and after months of deliberation we finally came up with what we feel is the the best option for a complete wide wheel kit for North American consumers.

“To tell you the truth, I’ve always wanted to bring the big wheel style that the Harley’s had in America to the Zoomer. So I guess you can call this a reimported style since the inspiration really came from all the larger American bikes."

Anti-Hate Education.

HomeMadeGoods believes that hate has no place in street culture or anywhere else for that matter. The Urban Dictionary defines hate as "When one puts down the success or fortune of others due to jealousy" or "To engage in ridicule and mockery for amusement". This is exactly what hating is about. People feel good about putting others down. Instead, people ought to look at others' success or accomplishments as an encouragement or an example to follow. We're not talking about biting. We're talking about being motivated to do something good with your life. With that, take into consideration the feelings you feel when others go for something and get it. Make sure you're not a hater!

HomeMade XBOX 360 Wireless

Ya I know...if you can afford the 360, then you can afford the 360 wireless adapter, right? Yeah, but it costs $100! I'd rather try a quality homemade wireless 360 solution? It works the same, but with more functionality! Too bad Microsoft and Sony aren't close enough friends to let SF4'ers play online against each other. So if you gotta 360, you can only play 360 SF4'ers online...same with PS3 SF4'ers. Anyways, seems like 360 has a bigger installed base (more people)...so get your 360 online using homemade wireless and lets play!

SKAM x LOUIS VUITTON

SKAM, an old school writer is tapping into the couture side of the spectrum. It seems the fashion industry is reaching new levels as far as bringing all levels to one. By allowing street art into the realm of the high society lifestyle of fashion, it will definitely open new doors for aspiring artist. This particular Collaboration was held in the Toronto LV retail store.
