The Slimlow on Snacking!

The hot days of summer causes many to consider ways in which to shape up and slim down. Being an advocate for good tasting food, it can be tough to skip and pass on certain favorites. In reading up for myself, I found the best advice is to keep intake at a controlled level and to watch your fat and calorie intake. Also, it is essential to exercise regularly. Eating more frequently throughout the day is known to boost metabolism. However, not all snacks are created equal! Check out this list I got from dietbites.com. These are snack foods known to help your metabolism...

"Hot air popped popcorn, fresh fruit, raw vegetables, sugar free gelatin, low fat yogurt, an ounce of cheese, peanut butter on crackers (watch the amount of peanut butter that you smear on your crackers), dried fruit, jerky, bullion, low fat soup, small salad with light dressing, fruit rolls, slice of toast with no calorie butter spray, a dash of cinnamon and a spoon or two of Splenda, fruit juice, a glass of skimmed milk whirled with 3 frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese."

Here's to your good efforts!
