No time...Make time!

Yea man, it's hard enough tryin to "do what it do", but how do you do...when it don't? Like, nike and JUST DO IT! Took a five day trip out to vegas, two days back in diego, five days in texas, then had to move out in two days!!! Can it be done? The Lord made a way! Now, I'm havin technical difficulties tryin to upload my pix...but is that gonna stop me? Nah!
What tripped me out was whenever I go to vegas...things are nonstop, things are just so fast i can't keep up. Didn't even get a chance to catch my breath and we were off to texas, where I was able to catch my breath, take a few naps here and there, and even got a chance to throw down in the kitchen,(which is my passion)...because, it's a blessing to see others enjoy my labor. Spent some goodtimes with family and friends...then back home to diego!
That was a whole 'nother can of worms, but it was a blessing to see my wife just stress free in a stressful situation. So we're done movin, dealin with the aftermath...will post pix! Laters.

GRUB EDUCATION. "BOBA TEA"(bubble tea)

The distinctive characteristic of bubble tea is the presence of chewy translucent balls of pearl gelatin (that sit at the bottom of the glass). Usually the pearls are "large pearl," larger than the "small pearl" that is customary in tapioca pudding. Cooked, large pearls have a diameter of at least 6 millimeters. Occasionally, "small pearl" tapioca is used. Both sizes of pearls are available in a variety of colors. The pearls boiled in water for 25 minutes, until they are cooked thoroughly but have not lost pliancy, then cooled for 25 minutes. After cooking they last about 7 hours. The pearls have little taste, and are usually soaked in sugar or honey solutions.
Bubble teas are generally of two distinct types: fruit-flavored teas, and milk teas. However, some shops offer a hybrid "fruit milk tea." Milk teas may use dairy or non-dairy creamers.
The original bubble tea consisted of a hot mixture Taiwanese black tea, brown large pearl tapioca, condensed milk, and honey. As this drink became more popular, variations were created. Iced versions appeared soon, and came along green bubble tea which uses jasmine green tea instead of black tea. Peach or plum flavoring began to appear, then more fruit flavors were added until, in some variations, the tea was removed entirely in favor of real fruits. These fruit versions usually contain colored pearls (and/or "jelly cubes" as in the related drink taho), the color chosen to match whatever fruit juice is used. Flavors may be added in the form of powder, fruit juice, pulp, or syrup to hot black or green tea, which is shaken in a cocktail shaker or mixed in a blender with ice until chilled. Cooked tapioca pearls and other mix-ins are added at the end.
Today one can find shops entirely devoted to bubble tea, similar to juice bars of the early 1990s. Bubble tea bars often serve bubble tea using a machine to seal the top of the cup with plastic cellophane. This allows the tea to be shaken in the serving cup. The cellophane is then pierced with a straw. The straw may be brightly colored, and is oversize, large enough for sucking up the pearls. Other cafés use plastic dome-shaped lids.
Boba, are also commonly refered to as Bobo.

DURANGO, MEXICO MISSION TRIP

I joined 10 men on a brief missionary trip down to Durango, Mexico. It was overwhelming on every sensory level, even to the heart. We had no idea what to expect, since none of us have ever been here. We heard the stories of the Mexican drug cartels, the gun fights, and how the main trafficking routes run through Durango because of it's central location in Mexico. None of that mattered, we were safe the entire time. All we wanted to do was share the love of Jesus with those less fortunate. In the end, we were the ones who were blessed. What a great way to put things in perspective...

MICROSOFT SECONDLIGHT

My work is dominated by open source development and all of it's biases (read: Anti-Microsoft). My specific area (Data Warehousing) is predominantly made up of the Microsoft BI toolset. Me personally, I don't really have a preference. I will say this though..Microsoft's surface technology is craazy! I'm sure Google Maps is upping their game as you read this..

Gangster Skaters Vs Punk Skaters

CRAYONE (yes, the Original)...

If you remember the book Spraycan Art, then you know the name. Crayone is a graffiti pioneer of the grassroots Hip-Hop scene in the Bay Area. Kids, like us, used to bring these books to school and show our friends what real graffiti looked like (not the paper kings who made flyers for the next garage party. haha.) Some wanted to get up like 'Taki 183' and have their tags everywhere. Others aspired to burn murals like Crayone. Serious artists know the respect that comes with his name. That was back in the day..the homie Crayone & TWS are STILL holding things down. He remains an advocate for the graffiti scene (He was even mentoring up and coming graf artists online!!), but his portfolio now covers the entire range of graphics across all medium. He still brings the dopest technique with old school flair. Check out his official site.

His resume says it best:
Crayone is considered to be a Bay Area Graffiti Art Pioneer. He has been filmed and published many times, but his seminal exposure was a book called "SprayCan Art", "Frieght Train Graffiti", "Graffito" and in a recent video documentary called "Piece By Piece". To his peers he is known as a person who brought the use of intricate colors and skillful technique to his graffiti pieces. His legendary crew called TWS (Together With Style) has brought world wide recognition and was known as the crew who invented New Wave. New Wave was an attempt at coining certain individuals who were trying to take graffiti to the next level of technique, color and style. Go.

Stay tuned for some major collab work. HMGxCRAYONE.

SAN ANTO RUCKUS.

The Homie Steve Photographer/RUCK rider has been building this ruck for a good minute, he is one of the very few RUCK riders here in SA. His tedious build will inspire you to go get a ruck. Also, he had some custom mid-night purple paint to accent the battle scooter. At the bottom of the pics is his parts list just incase you want to model yours to his...JUST DONT BITE.

DMGGMASD!!!!

What is DMGGMASD? It was probably one of the best drift events I've been to in four years of drifting. The guys from http://www.driftmechaniks.com/ put this private event together and it was held on Nov.1, 2008 at Nashville Super Speedway. I was lucky enough to be invited to this event along with a few other Memphis/Traction Optional drivers. Check out this vid put together by Will Roegge. I'm in the orange s14 in a couple of the clips of it. Big thanks again to everybody that had a part in putting this event together.

Want Thai?

We decided to test out this Thai Restaurant called "Tong's Thai" for lunch since we heard good things about it. Found out that it was reasonable fare and we'd definitely go back, especially for their boba drinks. Like many other asian restaurants here in SA, they had other ethnic dishes available too, such as Japanese and Chinese. I'd say that overall the place was good, from the tantalizing food, the garden patio seating with ponds, down to the details in the bathrooms (they had a cool sink!). A lasting impression for sure...which compensated for the overabundance of tofu versus chicken and shrimp in the Pad Thai. Gotta try Tong's Thai!
