CRAYONE (yes, the Original)...

If you remember the book Spraycan Art, then you know the name. Crayone is a graffiti pioneer of the grassroots Hip-Hop scene in the Bay Area. Kids, like us, used to bring these books to school and show our friends what real graffiti looked like (not the paper kings who made flyers for the next garage party. haha.) Some wanted to get up like 'Taki 183' and have their tags everywhere. Others aspired to burn murals like Crayone. Serious artists know the respect that comes with his name. That was back in the day..the homie Crayone & TWS are STILL holding things down. He remains an advocate for the graffiti scene (He was even mentoring up and coming graf artists online!!), but his portfolio now covers the entire range of graphics across all medium. He still brings the dopest technique with old school flair. Check out his official site.

His resume says it best:
Crayone is considered to be a Bay Area Graffiti Art Pioneer. He has been filmed and published many times, but his seminal exposure was a book called "SprayCan Art", "Frieght Train Graffiti", "Graffito" and in a recent video documentary called "Piece By Piece". To his peers he is known as a person who brought the use of intricate colors and skillful technique to his graffiti pieces. His legendary crew called TWS (Together With Style) has brought world wide recognition and was known as the crew who invented New Wave. New Wave was an attempt at coining certain individuals who were trying to take graffiti to the next level of technique, color and style. Go.

Stay tuned for some major collab work. HMGxCRAYONE.
