BREAK TIME.
I hung out with Nate (Herrasmoovy) today, we went out into town shooting photos and finding places in SA I've never been before. It was quite an experience and lots of photos! We ended the night with a high caloric dinner from Chilli's, enjoy!

APPLE TABLET. PATIENCE.
Like many people, I'm anxiously waiting for Apple to release the much anticpated Tablet. Nobody has pictures, specs, or even design drawings. It's all top secret, like Apple wants it. There are plenty of rumors on the forums, but none as exciting as the fan designs (what fan's THINK it will look like). September 9th 2009 is Apple's annual September Event where they release new products and make major announcements. I bet the tablet is released that day (even if they are downplaying it)...C'mon Steve, git 'er done!
Some interesting fan (fake) images:

MOPED GANGS.
Read a cool article from Wired.I guess this is the new craze with the hipster folk. (Idk what a hipster really is, but I don't care for labels. Do what you do.) The moped hype is spreading, again. Remember the Puch/Honda/Peugeot mopeds from the 80's? These are the same ones, but now with aftermarket exhausts and other tuning parts. These folks are forming 'moped gangs' all across the nation - San Francisco,CA (Creatures of the Loin), Tempe,AZ(Tom Cruisers), and Kalamazoo, MI(Decepticons) [read more here]

No messenger bag, no cut-offs, no flashy bike parts - just straight up fixed gear talent. These girls will blow you away. They are art in motion. Watch the video, it doesn't even look real!!

9.13.2009 GGP Houston, TX Drift event!!!!
Here we go again folks!
When.
Sept 13, 2009. Get there by 8:15 am, drivers meeting at 9:20 am. We drift until 5:30 or 6 depending how people behave. Then its cleanup time.
Where. Gulf Greyhound Park just south of downtown Houston. Just go to maps.google.com if you don't know where it is, and insert that name.
What to bring. Bring a running drift car, extra tires, a helmet, water, and whatever else you need. Don't bring a leaky car. Make sure you look at the tech form to make sure your car will pass before you bring it. http://fabricatedmotorsports.com/crap/USD%20Tech%20Form.pdf
All convertibles must have a 4 point roll bar or greater. All cars that want to do tandem need to have a full cage. Everyone must have a real battery tie down, no more speaker wire like the last event, that will not fly. There are many options for under 10 dollars that are real battery tie downs, or nice ones under 50. That was the biggest problem everyone had at the last one.
How to register. We will be doing a preregistration for this event. You need to paypal your entry fee of $75 plus 3% to erinshill at gmail.com. That is $79.25. When you paypal your money over, make sure you include in the text portion of the payment your full name, email address, phone number, car type, and anything else you need to tell me. Registration will be capped at 45 drivers, so make sure you register early, because we met the cap for the last event. I think everyone got plenty of seat time with that number, so I think we will cap all the events at that number or lower.
If you register and then decide you can't make it, just sell off your registered spot to someone else and tell them to use your name at the event gate to get in. There will be no refunds, but if you need to get out of your spot, just sell it off, and don't tell me about it, I don't need to know. That keeps it simple. It worked well at the last event, so we will do it again.
Again, all driver registration needs to be done over paypal in advance.
There will be a spectator fee of 5 dollars.
Please visit this thread for any updates, as I cannot monitor every forum this is posted on and make changes as they need to be made.

DAYTONA HUB 4/140.
The DIY fatty kit for the Ruckus is pretty simple for those who like to fabricate, assuming you have the right parts. There are tons of TR threads about DIY fatty setups (start with the Corner Carving thread). But the one part that's been difficult for me to track down is the hub. Thanks to Fatphos, my search has ended! This aint no ugly sym/kymco hub either! Bad part, I may have to use a not-so-baller atv wheel on this hub..oh well! Just get it running!!

PRIMITIVE TRANSPO CULTURE THAI STYLE.
This is ab-workout-funny! Read this funny spoof posted on Motosai (means 'motorcyle' in Thai), a moto-centric blog about the Thai bike culture. The tranpo culture is contagious, even with the native folk! Now, lemme go find an aeta on a dope Ruckus!!

CHILL SUNDAY RIDE.
So Mike, Nate and I went on a little chill/cruise ride yesterday downtown. Brought my camera along too and got some shots of some random people and our bikes.
Sorry that it looks like empty black spaces between shots, they just have black borders.
